What is AirPlay?
AirPlay is a wireless technology introduced by Apple Inc. of the United States. It allows videos, audios, and images from devices such as iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to be streamed to third-party certified devices. The transmission medium is Wi-Fi, which is fundamentally different from Bluetooth wireless.
AirPlay working principle
Mobile phones, computers, routers, and Airplay speakers all have one thing in common: they all support Wi-Fi as a medium. However, having a Wi-Fi signal alone is not enough. We also need the Airplay protocol to be incorporated, so that these devices know what they are transmitting. Airplay is the "language" between devices!
What can AirPlay do?
If you think Airplay can only be used to listen to music, you are sorely mistaken. Airplay can not only transmit audio files, but also transfer videos, photos, and other files to AppleTV and printers. All of these are recognized through the Airplay protocol.
The certification requirements that AirPlay accessories must fulfill are as follows:
1. The "Wi-Fi Certified" program of the Wi-Fi Alliance;

2. Authentication of Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM);
3. MFI certification
