Current cars have already touched the edge of the next generation, but most manufacturers are still just standing on the sidelines, looking in, tentatively introducing a few gadgets to whet consumers' appetites. Some manufacturers, however, are attempting to break into the next generation. The older generation of car buyers doesn't have high demands for technology, but the new generation of young consumers only think: if you can put the next generation into my car, as long as the features are dazzling and practical, I can accept it. Regarding the next-generation in-vehicle technology, I think the most well-known is Apple's CarPlay. After CarPlay, many major internet companies followed suit and launched various in-vehicle systems. However, fundamentally speaking, CarPlay is Apple's system, and it is worth exploring and using.
1. Introduction to CarPlay
Formerly known as the iOS in the Car program, CarPlay is an intelligent in-vehicle system that seamlessly integrates car users' iOS devices and iOS experience with the car's dashboard system.

CarPlay not only comes equipped with Siri voice control features specifically designed for driving scenarios, but it can also be used in conjunction with car control devices such as rotary knobs, buttons, or touch screens. Additionally, the app itself has been redesigned, allowing you to use it without having to take your eyes or hands off the wheel.

III. The Role of CarPlay | Functions
1. With CarPlay equipped in the user's car, they can connect devices such as iPhone and interact with it using the car's built-in display and control buttons, or Siri's hands-free function. Users can easily and safely make phone calls, listen to music, send and receive messages, use navigation, and more.
2. CarPlay allows users to access most of the basic functions of their iPhone through the car's control panel. Some of these functions include the Siri voice assistant tool, iTunes music playback, Apple Maps, and text messaging services. With CarPlay, drivers can make and receive phone calls without taking their hands off the steering wheel, and they can also listen to voice mail messages. To use these functions on their iPhone, drivers can touch the in-car driving control panel as if they were touching their phone, which can reduce distractions while driving. Additionally, drivers can activate Siri through a button on the steering wheel.
IV. Test Contents for CarPlay Certification
General, USB, iAP2, Location, Bonjour, CarPlay Protocol, User Input, UI Stream, Audio and Acoustics, Resource Management, Design Guidelines, Identity Guidelines, a total of 12 tests, with over 300 sub-tests;
Vehicle hands-free audio testing (based on ITU-T P.1100 and ITU-T P.1110).
